Training  
  • Where appropriate, competencies should have DOP and agency training mapped to them so that opportunities for growth in key competency areas are readily accessible.  Within SAP, the plan is to have training classes linked to competencies for easy identification while creating individual development plans.

  • Development of future training initiatives (undertaken by DOP or individual employers) could well be centered around competencies determined to be essential for an employer, unit or organization.

  • Mentors and coaches will be in a stronger position to design developmental assignments and encourage employees toward defined outcomes desired.
